450HP and 2500LBS sounds like a good time to us. This little 914 is bound to test your limits and skill as a driver (or even as helpless passenger). The Chevy 350 is running Edelbrock tunable port injection and revs to a very respectable 7,000rpm. Everything looks to have been done right with no corners cut. We really like the roll-cage wrap and would love to throw this into some corners at our favorite local canyon road! Find it here in Los Gatos, CA, for $20,000.

Craigslist Find: V8 Swapped '69 Porsche 912
It seems to be a good time to be in the market for a vintage Porsche. This '69 912 has had a Chevy 350 swap which makes the phrase "Never lift." more true than ever before. We bet it launches off the line like a bat-outta-hell but when it comes to the twisties it's sure to be more than a tail happy handful. This car has a long list of mods including coil-over suspension. The seller states that the only issues is that the car overheats in traffic, which can probably be solved with a better radiator or more efficient cooling fans. Find it here, in Garden Grove, CA, for $14,800.

eBay Find: Dream '74 Porsche RSR Replica, 993 Motor
We appreciate what Singer has done with the 911, but for us, this is the perfect 911. A classic body and chassis being powered by a newer motors and suspension. We're sure that the singer is quicker, rides better, and is just plain better at everything compared to this car but it doesn't look... right. Aside from the CCW wheels we think this car is perfect on the outside and the Recaro seats match well to the vintage interior. This car has many upgrades and we would love for this little RSR replica to call our garage home. Find it here, in Pheonix, AZ, for $49,000 OBO.

Craigslist Find: 1970 Porsche 911T, RS Esque Wide Body Deal
The Carrera RS is by far our most favorite 911 and we see nothing but potential to turn this cheap 911T into a RS inspired daily driver. We've seen rusty shells go for substantially more than the $12,500 that the seller is asking for this one. The flares aren't correct RS flares but they still look great and the non-porschephile wouldn't know the difference. The seller has a very in-depth ad and seems to be very honest about the things that are wrong with the car. The speedometer and odometer no longer function, the gas gauge isn't totally accurate, and the syncros on first and second may need to be replaced. There are a few other small problems but nothing that would keep this from being worth what the seller is asking. Find it here in Orange, CA!

Very few manufacturers can get away with paint so thin that you can see the weave of the carbon fiber underneath. Yup, we're at a Ferrari show!

Event: Art Center Car Classic 2011, Part 1
Nestled in the hills of Pasadena sits a rather ominous black building known as Art Center College of Design. This school is responsible for producing the majority of the world's automotive designers. So it makes sense that they would host an amazing car show every year.

Craigslist Find: '73 Porsche 914
Here's a great looking 914 that's being setup to compete in autocross. The seller claims to have recently put $3,000 into suspension and steering upgrades and has several extras to sweeten the deal. At $6,000, this looks to be a good deal but the seller states that the car was put into storage at some point. We suggest contacting them for more information on the current state of the car. Find it here in Torrance, CA.

Event: Cars and Coffee Part 1, June 2012
Cars and Coffee is an automotive gathering that started here in Southern California and has fervently spread across the US to other major metropolitan city. There's good reason for that level of excitement as this is one of the most eclectic shows around.

Craigslist Find: '80 Porsche 911SC Built for Spec Racing
Coming from Santa Clara, CA is a 911 shell set up for spec racing. The car looks well sorted with a 6 point roll cage and has been completely stripped inside. The original motor is available with the car but it has blown a piston ring. You can always replace the motor or you could do something more interesting like swapping in a Subaru motor. Porsche motors are pricey to replace or repair, even if they're this old. Find this Porsche project here, for $9,000.
