We've always felt that the first generation Cougar is one of the most under-appreciated muscle/pony cars of the late 60's. It's a more luxurious option to the Mustang and has wonderful proportions. We think this car could look very interesting if done in a pro-touring style with some classic Japanese car influences like bolt on fender flares and matte black Panasport type wheels. In our opinion, this car shares a similar silhouette and body lines to the Hakosuka Skyline. This particular car looks like a good base for a crazy(ridiculous) project like the one we have envisioned or is perfect for a loving restoration. Find it here, in the San Gabrial Valley, CA, for $5,500.

Forum Find: '80 Triumph TR7, Grand National Powered
The Buick Grand National turbo V6 was the LS1 of motor swaps in the 80's. We've seen them in everything from Datsun pick ups to Corvettes. This is the first time we've seen one in a Triumph and this has got to be one ridiculously fast car. Not only does this little TR7 have the motor and trans a of a GN, but the builder also managed to shove the rear-end under the little Triumph as well. The seller states that there's something not quite right with the swap as it falls on it's face under heavy acceleration. This sounds like a boost problem to us, but there is a myriad of issues that could be causing this symptom, (fuel, spark, ECU, plugged cats, etc). This would be an amazing car when sorted out. Find it here, in Hillpoint, WI, for $4,000. We also love the Halloween appropriate Spider edition, complete with cartoon spiders on the quarters!

Craigslist Find: '69 Lotus Europa
The Europa is definitely one of the more odd profiles to come out of the 60's, but that doesn't mean it isn't beautiful and a ton of fun to drive. This particular car has had a nice upgrade to a Gordini Cross Flow motor and is currently being fueled by twin Weber DCOE's. There is some fine tuning that needs to be done as there is a fuel level issues with the Webers. This car looks great overall and should make for a great bargain for any enthusiast at $11,500 OBO. Find it here, in Canyon Lake, CA.

Craigslist Find: '70 Ford Mustang Fastback
Fastback Mustangs are some of the most sought after classic cars in the world and while the 1970 model isn't at the top of everyone's desirability chart, it's still a sexy beast. Especially when done like this one. The black on black on black scheme looks great and has a very nice "second read" effect when you notice the matte black Boss 302 vinyls. This car has the very desirable 4-speed manual trans and 302 drive-train combo as well as some other nice chassis and brake upgrades. We really like the wheels and think that this is a very nice classic muscle car look. The seller states that the paint was not done "right" by the body shop he took the car to and there is some "bubbling' in the paint. If minor corrosion and rust repair are things you can live with, then we suggest you go check this car out! Find it here, in San Antonio, TX, for $15,000.

Craigslist Find: '78 Fiesta Rally Tribute
Don't lie. You've always wanted a to storm through some mountainous dirt road in a Rally car with your copilot reading course notes from a paper that's death clinched in his hands. Well, maybe that's just us, but that's the exact image we got when saw this '78 Fiesta on Craigslist. This car looks like a metric ton of fun in a spunky little hatchback package. Everything is just right about the way this car looks and it's street/smog legal. Find all of the details here. The car is located in Sherman Oaks, CA, for $9,000. Pricing is a little steep, but we don't know where else you're going to find anything like this for less!

eBay Find: '67 Camaro Pro-touring to Track Rat
We love finding a car that was built intelligently and with a purpose. This '67 Camaro was built with the track in mind as well as occasional street use. The seller states that the only thing keeping this car from regular road use is that the fuel cell may not be up to DOT standards and the fuel gauge isn't working properly. We normally are disappointed when we find modern interior in classic cars, but when everything from that modern interior is functioning we don't mind as much. All of the gauges work (except for the aforementioned fuel gauge), the cruise control works, and steering wheel controls for the radio work. There is no A/C, there is an issue with the brakes when used on the track, and some warning lights from omitted sensors are lighting up the dash. We like that the body is in it's well beaten state, it's a blank canvas that lets the next owner decide where to take the project. Truthfully, we'd stick an A/C system in it and daily drive it as is. There is a lot of information in the eBay listing as well as a few link to build pictures, so go check it out here. The car is located in Springfield, OH, and is at $20,000 with no reserve and only 1 day left. This is the link to the seller's ad on Pro-Touring.com if the car doesn't sell and you want to make an offer.

Craigslist Find: '88 325IS, S52 Swap
This 325IS looks to be a killer track car setup with potential to be a great street car. The swap looks unbelievably clean and the S52 was completely rebuilt before being installed. Suspension has been tottaly gone through and the hubs have been upgraded to 5-lug. The paint isn't so great and the interior apparently very gutted. The seller mentions not being able to smog the car and there are no pics with a California plate, we're assuming that there will be issues to overcome if you want to daily drive this in California. The seller has posted some very quick times at multiple tracks and has videos of his runs listed in the ad. $7,000 is quite a lot for what is currently a stripped out track car here in CA, but this is a case where you get what you pay for. Find it here, in south San Francisco, CA.

Craigslist Find: '72 240Z
This is a great deal on an original 240Z. The paint is two years old, the body is straight/rust free, the interior is in great condition with a rare passenger foot rest, and the drivetrain is numbers matching. This car is an absolute steal for $4,500. The only draw back is that it's an automatic. At this price, you could still modify and put the stock motor and trans in storage until you're ready to sell the car. Find this fantastic deal here, in Eugene, OR.

Craigslist Find: Cheapest 850CSI We've Ever Seen
Not only is this the cheapest 850CSI we've seen, it's also has the rare 6 speed manual option. This car needs some paint and the right front headlight needs to be replaced but this is still an amazing deal for a BMW enthusiast. The car has had a recent tune-up and has relatively low miles at 71k. Find it here, in San Jose South, for an amazing $6,500.

Craigslist Find: '99 Impreza Wagon, WRX Swap
This WRX swapped '99 Impreza looks to be a great deal for someone who is looking to do a little bit of work. The car is being offered at $5,000 but there is an issue where the car is laggy under full boost. We're assuming it could be something as simple as a boost leak or a plugged cat, but there could be a much more serious problem. The seller is willing to have the problem diagnosed and fixed, but would up the price to $7,000. The seller reports that the wagon just made the long journey from PA to SoCal with no issues. This Impreza wagon looks great as it sits and makes a healthy 243hp to the wheels when running properly. Find it here, in Chino, CA, for $5,000 as is. Being as the car is currently registered in PA and for sale in CA, we would like to note that this may not be smog legal as it sits.

Craigslist Find: Custom Subaru 360 Van
We' not quite sure what to think about this Subaru 360. We admire the amount of work that has gone into creating this very unique car. The stock motor has been swapped out with a VW 1915cc that is capable of pulling wheelies. The car does need some work still (rear axles(?), tank/compressor, door rubbers). Find it here, in Fallbrook, CA, for $19,500. This car isn't for everyone but we're glad it exists.

eBay Find: RB26 Powered E30
We see a lot cars that are wild on the outside while running very sedate engine setups. You don't have to worry about that here, every inch of this E30 is as batty as it looks. The pedestrian M20 has been swapped for a R32 GT-R RB26 that has also been built to take just about anything you could ever plan on throwing at it. The brakes, suspension, interior, and body have all been modified in one way or another. Fortunately, all of the changes were tracked and cataloged in the seller's build blog. We don't know if the seller will be able to get what he's asking for the car, but one thing is for sure, you'll never come across another one like it anywhere in the world. Find the complete list of parts and work here, in Lakeview, NY, for $29,999 OBO.

Craigslist Find: '76 BMW 2002, Exquisite Rebuild
This wonderful 2002 has been completely gone through with one of the best motor rebuilds we've seen in these cars. The body/interior look fantastic and the car is rebuilt from top to bottom with great care. The seller states that the motor needs some tuning to get the maximum potential out of it, but is currently running and driving. Find the full parts list here, in Gleneagle, CO, priced at $11,000.

Craigslist Find: '73 240Z, GNose, Blown SBC
The GNose is a polarizing look for the 240Z. It completely transforms the look of the car into something that you either love or hate. This car looks great with the BMW Sepang Bronze Metallic contrasting nicely against the bare carbon fiber flares. While the body is purely Japanese, the motor is a roots blown, all american small block Chevy. Seller states that the interior needs work, but makes no mention of brakes or suspension upgrades. The car is also running an automatic TH350 transmission. The seller has not listed a price but judging from the only trade he would like to make, (MKIV Supra) he's looking for a considerable amount for this car. We're not sure how much it's actually worth without seeing more pics of the motor, interior, suspension, and brakes. In this situation, it's best to contact the seller and feel out how much value he places on the car. If you're local go see the car before making an offer. Find it here, in Fresno, CA, make an offer!

Craigslist Find: '69 Camaro, Drag Car
Wheelies are awesome. Terrifyingly awesome. You need a metric ton of power, light weight, and tires that are stickier than a Lohan's past. This '68 Camaro is built to go incredibly fast in a straight line and makes no apologies for it. At $17,500, it's one of the cheapest cars that we've seen that can do wheelies to a sub 6 second 1/8th mile. Find it here, in Montgomery, TX.

Craigslist Find: Slammed '69 510, KA24E
This 510 is low. So low in fact, that you won't be able to take it anywhere without first checking for speed bumps, dips, tree roots, pebbles, cigarette butts, etc...We wouldn't even consider restoring it the because the chassis and frame have got to have been scraped and dented into a fine art piece. That being said, we love this car. It's the lowest 510 we've ever seen. The paint/patina looks amazing and the KA24E means it could be a great daily driver. We would leave this car exactly as is and drive it as often as possible to places we're familiar with. Seller states that there are some issues with that could use addressing, like some wiring issues and the speedometer isn't functional. If you end up buying this car and having it shipped, please let us know if it will even make it up a flat bed trailer ramp. Find it here in Stanwood, WA, for $3,500 OBO.

Craigslist Find: '66 Fairlady Roadster, FJ20
This little Fairlady roadster has had it's tired old 1600 swapped out for a FJ20ET, sans the E and the T. The motor has been stripped of it's fuel injection and turbo in favor of a set of Weber carburetors for ease of tuning. The car looks like a solid deal at $3,800 but there is some sort of fuel issue that needs to be resolved before the car can be driven hard. As usual with swapped cars, the speedometer and tach aren't functioning. This car needs a couple weekends worth of work to be fully functional again, but it does currently run and drive. Find it here, in Imperial Beach, CA. Special thanks to Dave for the submission!

Craigslist Find:'93 GMC Typhoon
The Typhoon is a legendary truck that was one of the quickest bang for your buck autos on the road. Their turbo V6 and AWD put down some remarkable 0-60 times. This particular truck has had a few upgrades to help stay up to snuff with it's modern day competitors. There is some work that needs to be done (cosmetic and a turbo with some play on the impeller shaft) but it is a running driving vehicle and it is one of the cheapest Typhoon's that we've seen in awhile. The seller also states that the gas gauge isn't reading accurately, when you're at E you actually have 3 more gallons. This is a common problem with this platform as one of our staff member had an '89 GMC Jimmy that did the exact same thing. Find it here, in Henderson, NV, for $6,500.

Craigslist Find: '61 Ford Ranchero Custom
Functionality and style come together in this beautiful '61 Ford Ranchero. This car/truck has been bagged and shaved into a perfect example of a late 50's to early 60's car. The three on the tree sounds like a load of fun but it looks like there is no power steering, which could end being a challenging combination. Despite the attention to detail in the body work, there are still a few small project that need to be tackled. The speedometer, gas gauge, turn signals, wipers, and heater controls are all non-op. This car is still a deal at $5,900 considering that all of the faults could be fixed in a couple of weekends. Find it here, in Fair Oaks, CA.

eBay Find: Pro-Touring '66 Chevelle, LS6 Swap
This is the most sinister pro-touring Chevelle we've ever seen. It's still a mild work in progress as the interior and side glass need completing, but we love where the car is at this point. The custom taillights look great at night and it's nice to see a t-56 in a Chevelle instead of the 4l60e automatic. This car car looks to have had no expense spared in it's build, but there are some core things we would change. We'd love to see some form of fuel injection and our neuroses would get the better of us when it came to keeping the red powder coated frame clean. The car was appraised at $60,000 but the current bid is $28,200 with no reserve and just over 3 days remaining. Find it here, in Sunnyvale, CA!
