We really like this motor/chassis combo and feel that is car is built just as well as the other one we posted. 1997 BMW M3, LS3 Swap
For some people, the S14 that comes stock in the E30 M3 just doesn't have enough power or torque for their needs. This is the perfect project for that kind of person. Two owners ago wanted to stuff the V10 from a M5 in between those strut towers, which would be lovely, but plans changed and the car was sold before the project could really even start. As it sits now, it's a complete E30 M3 sans motor and trans. This is a great opportunity for someone to create their dream M3 with a very small amount of work. 1988 BMW M3 Roller
The Buick Grand National turbo V6 was the LS1 of motor swaps in the 80's. We've seen them in everything from Datsun pick ups to Corvettes. This is the first time we've seen one in a Triumph and this has got to be one ridiculously fast car. Not only does this little TR7 have the motor and trans a of a GN, but the builder also managed to shove the rear-end under the little Triumph as well. The seller states that there's something not quite right with the swap as it falls on it's face under heavy acceleration. This sounds like a boost problem to us, but there is a myriad of issues that could be causing this symptom, (fuel, spark, ECU, plugged cats, etc). This would be an amazing car when sorted out. 1980 Triumph TR7, Complete Buick Grand National Drive-Train
What started life as a pedestrian automatic 323i has now become a full fledged dream wagon. This E46 Touring has benefited greatly from the death of a low-mileage 2004 M3. There's little that wasn't swapped over to the wagon, including manual trans, gauges reflecting actual motor mileage, differential, seats, steering wheel, etc. This is one hell of a daily driver set up that could also be great on the track. We found the car through it's original for sale thread on bimmerforums, here, and the actual ad is on autotrader, here, for $18,750, in Chicago, IL.

UPDATE: This car is still for sale and has had a dramatic price drop to $3,100. We thought it was a solid deal at $5,500, so you can imagine how great we think this deal is now! Find it here in Modest, CA.
This E34 looks great and promises to be good fun while grocery getting. The lackluster automatic has been swapped out for a 5 speed manual and the motor has been given a little bit more breathing room with a set of S50 cams. The car sits on adjustable coil-overs and doesn't come with the AC Schnitzer wheels that are pictured. This car is a pretty good deal at $5,500, but there are some minor issues that need addressing. The passenger seat doesn't adjust correctly, some of the front end is a mismatched white, the power sunroof is non-op, and the headliner is slightly sagging in the rear of the vehicle. 1995 BMW 525IT, 5 Speed Swap, Mild Drop
Well cared for, lowered, 5 speed swap, 323I touring. It basically sells itself in very few words. This car has very nice list of recent maintenance items and below average miles on the odometer. The stance is just right, falling right just in the realm of daily drivable with minor scrapes every now and then. The matte black roof isn't something we would boast about as it will look like a cheap fix for a sun faded roof. We would suggest that if you cannot live without the black roof to have it painted glass black. This car should turn out some impressive fuel economy numbers and be a very competent daily driver. Find it here, in Gainesville, FL, for $9,000 OBO. The price is on the high side but it is rare to find a 5 speed RWD touring.
2000 BMW 323I, 5 Speed Swap
The SR20DET seems to be the turbo four cylinder of choice when swapping motors into classic Datsuns, but the KA24DET has some perks as well. For starters, it usually has more low-end torque and parts are more readily available at your local scrap yard. So it does make sense to find one so well put together in a Z car, like this one. The seller looks to have built the motor properly as well as the suspension. There is no mention of a brake upgrade which we feel is necessary for an old car with this much power. 1973 Datsun 240Z, KA24DET
This is a running/driving 240Z with some rust issues for $5,500! the car looks like it also has a roll-bar installed. We've never seen a S30 that looks this good with this motor swap for so cheap. Find it here, on ratsun.net, in Colorado. Move quick, this one isn't going to be around long!

Change your daily driver to a classic, regal, and economical ride with this 1974 Mercedes 240D. We've always been fans of the diesel powered Mercedes and this one looks great with it's green paint and color matched hubs. 1974 Mercedes 240D, Recent Rebuilds, Mild Stance
The 240sx has always been a fun and competent platform for just about any form of motor sport. The stock KA24 was designed with the purpose of being a sport economy motor with a good amount of pep. This modern day 240sx owner has kicked the old 4 banger to curb in favor of a fire breathing VQ35HR from a '08 350z. If that wasn't enough to make this car unique from the rest of the s13's out there, he also converted it to right hand drive. 1993 Nissan 240sx, VQ35HR, Right Hand Drive
If you disagreed with our judgment the last time we called an E30 M3 perfect, then this is probably more your style. This M3 has been fully redone from top to bottom and no expense has been spared. The interior is beautiful, the AC works, and the body was taken down to bare metal in 2010 and repainted. While it may seem sacrilegious to replace the S14 with the S52, we personally love the sound of that wailing straight six. Everything has been done to the car since 2010 so you have few years of pure driving pleasure before a wrench needs to be turned. At $34,000 we still feel that the owner will be taking a loss and if you have the spare change, you won;t find a nicer E30 M3. Find it here in Brooklyn, NY.
1988 BMW M3, S52, Full Resto and Upgrades
Some cars are so evocative of an era that we hear music. This 8 series, especially with the images provided,plays a synthy melody from the early 90's that's perfect for cruising down the PCH. This car is quite frankly, gorgeous. Only small, tasteful modifications have been done and each one slowly morphed this car into the modern take on the era of shoulder pads, Dynasty, and power lunches. At $12,500, this car is a steal. 1991 BMW 850i, 6 Speed, Temecula, CA
Despite what the general population thinks of these cars, we here at Carticular have always been fans of the 3rd gen F-body. This car in particular, makes want to dawn a mullet, move to the South, and live the 3rd gen Camaro life. Everything is right and the list of modifications is a mile long. The car has just been completed (only having been around the block a time or two) so there will probably be teething issues. The car currently has a 4th gen dash which doesn't fit quite to our standards and the car currently has no headlights. Even with those few negatives, we would still drive love every minute of driving the car how it is. Find it here in southern Georgia for $16,500.
1991 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, LS1 Powered
If you aren't quite sold on the horsepower ratings of a stock E30 M3 and still want a vintage M car, we suggest taking a look at this E24 M6. With 256hp from the factory, the S38 motor made the M6 one of the quickest cars in the world when it was released. This car appears mostly stock, but the seller says there is some damage to the rear quarter panels and that the factory self leveling suspension has been replaced Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks. It's not unusual for the factory suspension to be replaced on these cars as it's one of most consistent points of failure on these cars. This car is available for a very reasonable $10,500 OBO here, on the bimmerforums. The seller states his location is in Kansas City, MO, but the car has Colorado plates, so we suggest getting in contact with the seller to find out more.
1988 BMW M6
Big power comes cheap with this turbo LY6 powered Chevelle, putting out a claimed 700hp. While the motor is built to handle the on coming Armageddon, the rest of the car still needs some love. The seller neglects to mention anything about brakes and suspension so we can't honestly say that we would enjoy driving a 700hp car with 200hp brakes from the 1970's. Seller also claims that the body is full of filler and that the quarters and roof should be replaced if you are looking for a show car. We think that with a good set of brakes and a decent suspension set up, this car would be an absolute blast to drive regardless of body condition. Find it here in Mckinney, TX for $15,500.
1970 Cheverolet Chevelle, 700hp LY6 turbo
We're enjoying the current state automotive market, everything is reliable, comfortable, and very fast compared to what was available in the mid to late 90's. Sometimes a deal comes along that makes you reconsider what a car is all about. We like the everything about the new ZL1 on paper, but at the end of the day we feel that it's just a consumable product. It won't be an icon for future generations to look back on with a prideful grin, muttering something about how those were the days when cars were cars. They'll look to the late 60's just as we do. Our point is that for $20,000 less than the base MSRP of a new ZL1 Camaro you can have this 1969 Camaro that's powered by a Kenne Bell supercharged LQ4. That's right, $34,000 is all that's being asked for this car. The old '69 has had a complete suspension upgrade to coilovers, big Willwood brakes, a freshly rebuilt T56, and many other improvements to help this car keep up with the best America has to offer today. We're willing to bet that you would have the time of your life with this car. That being said, this is an old car and it will not be as reliable as new. But for the price you can buy a brand new fuel efficient daily driver and till be under the cost of a new ZL1.
