Event: Japanese Classic Car Show, Part 2, The Show

Inside the gates held some of the rarest and most sought after cars Japan has ever made.

Our jaws dropped when we saw these three.
The badges weren't just for show.
Each one was packing a real deal S20.

We would have loved to hear them fire up.

While all three cars were amazing it was easy to choose a favorite.
Hako Suka's really are dream cars.

The 432 stands for four valves per cylinder, three carburetors, two camshafts.
Original Z's don't get any better than this.

Shotgun exhaust is always a favorite on S30 cars.
This Mazda had to be one of the most well executed modified cars at the show.
The car was modernized inside and out.
The interior came out of a Lexus IS300.
While the power came from a single turbo 2JZ.
The quality on this build was top notch.
This sinister liftback Celica was another modified beauty.
 S2000 Powered.
Custom interior with S2000 cluster.
Superb fit and finish.
We loved this little art car.
This guy clearly had his parts over-nighted from Japan.
All joking aside, this thing was a beast.
2JZ's are notorious for huge power.
This car made no attempt to hide that fact.
Direct port.
Big power rarely looks this clean.
Just another nice 510?
Nope, that sloped C pillar means this is a true coupe.
It's hard not to fall in love with the 510.
Carbs aren't our favorite fuel delivery system but we're willing to compromise for this setup.
Wild paint!
Just how we'd like a pickup.
This is definitely more our style.
Yes please.
Series 1 perfection.
Fantastic color.

S30 with some Italian inspiration.
White flares with headlight covers.
This car was a set of fender mirrors away from being our ideal Datsun.
We loved this car but were not sure sticking your intercooler above your turbo is the most efficient placement.
A four door Hako? Yes please.
Just right.
 The perfect family hauler
Look forward to tomorrow's installment of the Japanese Classic Car Show where we bring you more of the best cars from one of the best shows on the west coast!
