Iconic cars sometimes get their status because of past accolades in motor sports, public sales, or in outstanding design and engineering. Being owned by the iconic man's man doesn't hurt the image either. That's right, this D-Type was owned by Steve McQueen.
The D-Type won the 24 hour of Le Mans from 1955 through 1957.
It's trick wasn't massive amounts of power, but aerodynamics.
While the more powerful Ferrari's could go 160mph on the Mulsanne Straight, the Jaguar could hit 172.
It was an absolute pleasure to see a car with such a rich history out and about for the public to enjoy.
