We're wrapping up our coverage of the 2011 Coronado Festival of Speed with the odds and ends from the show and the paddock. This Moto Guzzi powered trike is definitely odd.
This is the proper layout for a stable three wheeled vehicle. You wont find anything Reliant Robin-esque about the way these things go around corners.
This Red Pig inspired Merc was drawing a crowd.
This is where the 6.3 AMG designation comes from.
We thought "Oh cute, the Mini has tires far more aggressive than necessary."
Foot in mouth.
It turned out to be a mid-engined, turbo charged, fire breathing monster.
Bugaru! We're big fans of Subaru powered Porsche and VW cars.
Just can't get enough of clean '67-'68 fastback Mustangs.
...or GT40's, original or otherwise.
Bundle of snakes and ITB's, where do we sign?
Alfa Romeo Giulietta, one of the prettiest cars ever made.
You can't help but imagining this car cruising down the coast of the Riviera.
Or racing down the coast of the Riviera. We saw these two cars and instantly thought of it as a "Choose Your Adventure" novel.

Era appropriate rivalry.

Wild custom wood interior.
One of the best parts of the paddock was noise all around you.
Aside from the vintage racing, there's also a drift event held for a portion venue.
We look at the S15 and wonder what happened at Nissan?
They used to have such well designed cars.
This drift crew had some cool re-purposed suspension gear in their cars.
We'll be at Coronado again this year and we can't wait. There is something to be said about a racing venue that pits rare vintage cars against each other in a very competitive setting. We hope that if you can't make it to Coronado that you'll find an event near you and experience it for yourself.
