Event: Mopars at the Strip, Part 2

Mopars at the Strip isn't just about Hemi cars restored to concourse standards, some creative souls brought their wild contributions out for all to see.

It doesn't get much more wild than this pair of diesel ratrods.
A wall of conquest maybe?
Or an ingenious way of recycling old cowboy boots? Either way, the attention to detail on these cars was astounding.
Every nook and cranny has been modified to the creators intent.

Both cars were extremely powerful at 600 and 800hp. we didn't get a chance to hear how much torque these diesel monsters make but we're sure it's well over 1000ftlb.

Piston bumpers are not something we want to get into a fender bender with.
An amazing amount of work went into both of these cars and we love the end results.
This very sinister Challenger didn't have a stock panel on it. The bumpers were nicely tucked, the headlights were off of a modern Challenger, and everything was shaved away.
Hiding under the hood was a fuel injected 440 big block that had some big turbos coiled tightly in place.
Sometimes, all it takes is the right stance with the right wheels to make an old special edition look like a modern custom.

We were surprised by how great this metallic pink 1st generation Charger looked!
We were also pleasantly surprised with the immaculate interior. We could ogle those gauges all day. Tune in next time when we cover the some of the motorsport events that happened during the show!
