Event: July 2012 Eagle Rock Datsun Show and Swap Meet, Part 1

It seems like yesterday when we went to our first Datsun Show and Swap Meet in Eagle Rock. It was a small venue that consisted of about 20-25 cars, primarily 510s and a couple of vintage Mazdas.

Now this once tiny show has started to overgrow it's venue with close to 100 cars in an area meant for about 40. Add in the vendor stalls and you've got some very tight spaces.

With the increase in attendance comes the increase in quality of cars like this Coupe.
It appears that the Rusty Bird that we featured a week ago didn't make it out, much to our disappointment, but we got our fix with this lovely example.

We loved the look of this 510 two door.
The gold mesh wheels, the yellow high beams, and the carbon hood looked great with the dark green paint.

The locking style hood pins were a nice touch as well.
We're diggin' the swastika wheels with the fender mirrors!
Our favorite color for an old Datsun has got to be robin's egg blue like on this 521.

Always love flared S30s.
A big lip on the wheels doesn't hurt either.
The show was definitely not lacking in swapped cars.
There were quite a few rotary powered cars that showed up this time.
We bet these cars are a blast, with as high as they rev.
The styling on this old 200sx was quite the departure from what we were used to seeing.
With a small drop and some nice wheels, we think these cars could really stand out in the sea of 510s.
Love the original graphics.
The interior was nicely styled as well.
This early goon was in fantastic condition.
Clean!
A fantastic shade of green for this car.
We really liked the grill.
Another JDM car.
It's really hard to walk through a Datsun show and not want to run out and pick one up for yourself!

Look forward to Thursday's post, where we bring you even more from what is quickly becoming one of the bigger Datsun shows in SoCal!
