Event: 2011 South Pasadena Classic Car Show, Part 1

We love Socal car shows. Even small town events can have some amazingly rare machines.

A gullwing 300SL is not something you find everyday.
This was an amazingly kept example that was sporting a lot of original goodies.
Everything was used but extremely clean.
Perfect weekend get-away car!

The interior of these cars is finished like a fine timepiece.

Amazing presence.
This Super 8 comes from a time when Packard made some of the finest cars in the world.

Even Datsun had a representative at the show.
Very clean Z car.
This was one of the bolder Mopars at the show.
Very clean pro-touring style.
Another no expense spared build.
We'd love to take this beast around a track.

Call it a hunch, but we think this car makes a considerable amount of power.
We're not normally fans of modified gauge clusters and generic carbon fiber panels in older muscle cars but this one has been executed perfectly.
This little red Lotus Elan wasn't entered in the show. We just happened to spot it on our way.
We stress "little".
If we were piloting this Lotus, we would have a constant fear of being driven on top of by an inattentive Camry. Look forward to part 2 of the South Pasadena Classic Car Show where we bring some more unbelievably rare machines.
