eBay Find: 1969 Toyota Corona

Here's a great example of a very stock Corona 2 door. This charming little car could be that charismatic daily driver or that original piece of JDM that your looking for. eBay link after the jump.

The seller states that this has been a southwestern car for all of it's life and it shows. It's great to see a classic Toyota with no rust. While the paint isn't original the body looks great and has never had any repairs. The seller also states that this car was in storage for quite awhile but was "exercised" regularly.  As with any car that has been in storage there may be dry rot issues with gaskets and just about anything that is rubber. As it so happens, the car needs a new set of tires and the vinyl seats could use a recover. The rebuilt carb and clutch hydraulics is a good start to making the car a daily driver. There really isn't that much "bad" listed about the car other than the gas gauge no longer being functional and some wear on the driver's seat.  We've always felt that these cars could be a funkier alternative to a Datsun 510 and this one is a prime example.  You could keep the car stock or turn this into a modified super sleeper or just about everything in between.

Back in it's day, the Corona was slated to compete with the Datsun 510 and offered similar packages for U.S. consumption (2 door, 4 door, and station wagon).  Cruising efficiently is what the old Coronas are all about and with a 0-60 of 16 seconds, you shouldn't expect an autocross track star.
